Press Democrat Article about Stop The Gusher

The Press Democrat picked up the Stop The Gusher story and published an article on the front page of their business section.  The Collaborize community Stop the Gusher was launched on June 22 as the first site to gather and collect ideas about how to stop the oil disaster in the Gulf of Mexico.

The Press Democrat quoted Richard Lang, Democrasoft CEO, about the new site:

“People have come up with some fairly simple and elegant strategies,” said Richard Lang, Democrasoft’s founder and CEO. “You have to wonder why they haven’t been tried.”

Democrasoft’s spill website gives users a chance to vote on the ideas and provides links to government decision-makers, BP and other relevant sites.

The ideas keep coming, Lang said. “It’s starting to grow virally,” he said. “People on Facebook are starting to talk about it.”
